“Woof, woof. BARK!” said Bruno, a Border Collie who is a patient at Southwind Animal Hospital. “That means he’s excited!” said Ava, Bruno’s handler for his trip to the vet.

There were a few IT issues that were holding them back, however...
“We have a server that essentially runs the business and allows us to access charts and other functions of the clinic,” says one of the office managers at Southwind. “Troubleshooting was always difficult because no one employed has a background in computers. Trying to fix various issues and ensuring the security of the practice was not something with which we had experience.”
After going through a vendor selection process and interviewing multiple IT companies, Southwind chose to engage with Allevia Technology in January of 2025. “They help us keep all our computers up to date and running smoothly,” said the office manager. “The consultation services have also been super helpful in helping us decide what services we would need in the future and budget for future expenses. Southwind was also working through an office expansion project, and, with Allevia’s help, discovered that the network cabling was missing from the plans. “We were able to come alongside them and work with them, their general contractor, and various subcontractors to ensure they had the right connectivity at the place, at the right time,” says Archer Coppedge, Project Manager at Allevia.
